O ΦΡΟΝΤΙΖΩ είναι μία μη κυβερνητική, μη κερδοσκοπική οργάνωση που ασχολείται με ποικιλία δραστηριοτήτων, όπως τη φροντίδα, την υποστήριξη, την εκπαίδευση και την κατάρτιση των ατόμων που ανήκουν σε ευάλωτες κοινωνικές ομάδες. Παραδείγματα τέτοιων ομάδων είναι:οι μοναχικοί ηλικιωμένοι, άτομα με σοβαρά προβλήματα υγείας, άτομα με αναπηρία ή με ειδικές ανάγκες, άτομα τα οποία δεν μπορούν να αυτοεξυπηρετηθούν.

Advocacy For Multiple Sclerosis in Western Greece

The project “Advocacy for Multiple Sclerosis in Western Greece”, is implemented by the “Corporation for Succor and Care of Elderly and Disabled-FRODIZO” in cooperation with the Greek Association for Treating Multiple Sclerosis in Western Greece (EEASKP).

The aim of the project is to implement targeted actions in different regions of Western Greece in order to: safeguard the rights of patients with multiple sclerosis, especially the people in productive age, the mediation to organizations of the region to ensure cooperation for the support of these people, aware / update the community on issues relating to the disease of MS, etc.

Main activity of the project will be the creation of the “Office of Advocacy for Treatment of patients with MS,” which will work in the offices of EEASKP (Pl. Labour RESIDENTIAL. Road 2, Patras) and will be staffed by mental health professional with experience in MS.

The project is funded as part of the “We are all citizens” – Increase provision of social welfare services to vulnerable groups – which is part of the total EEA Financial Mechanism for Greece. Grant program manager is Bodossaki Foundation. The objective of the Program is to strengthen civil society in our country and the strengthening of social justice, democracy and sustainable development.

This project is expected to close on March 31, 2016.
